TidyContacts

Terms of service

Last updated: 30 October 2026

1. The service

TidyContacts ("the service") finds likely duplicate contacts in your Clio Manage account and, at your explicit request, merges them through the Clio API. It is operated by Maxyme Tuffery, trading as Backfillab, France ("we"). TidyContacts is an independent product, not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Clio. Clio is a trademark of its owner.

2. Your account

You connect with your Clio credentials through OAuth. You must be authorised by your firm to change its contacts. Actions are performed with your Clio permissions and appear in Clio as made by you.

3. How merges work and your responsibility

4. Trial, subscription and payment

A 14-day free trial starts at your firm's first connection. Scans and previews are free. Merges after the trial need a subscription at 19 USD per firm per month, plus applicable taxes. Payments are handled by Stripe through Stripe Managed Payments; Stripe is the merchant of record and its terms apply to the purchase. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access to merges continues until the end of the paid period. No refunds for partial months unless required by law.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to access data you are not authorised to access, to disrupt Clio or the service, or in breach of law or professional rules.

6. Data

Your firm keeps all rights to its data. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. Disconnecting deletes all data we hold for your firm.

7. Availability and changes

We aim for a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service depends on the Clio API, whose rules and limits may change. We may change these terms with notice by email or on this page.

8. Liability

The service is provided with reasonable care. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under French law.

9. Law

These terms are governed by French law. Disputes go to the competent French courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections.
